Techstars Startup Weekend is an immersive 54-hour experience where you’ll connect with other aspiring founders, creatives, technologists, and problem-solvers to pitch ideas, form teams, validate concepts, build, and prepare to present your solution. Along the way, you’ll gain insights and support from experienced mentors and industry professionals while experiencing firsthand what it takes to build a startup from the ground up.

Day 01
Meet. Pitch. Choose.
Meet your fellow participants, hear rapid-fire idea pitches, vote on the ideas with the most potential, and form a team around the problem you want to solve. By the end of the night, you’ll have a team, an idea, and a starting point.
Day 02
Research. Test. Build.
This is where the work gets real. Talk to potential customers, test your assumptions, refine your business model, and start bringing your idea to life. Throughout the day, experienced mentors will challenge your thinking, answer questions, and help your team keep moving forward.
Day 03
Refine. Present. Celebrate.
Turn everything you’ve learned into a clear, compelling story. Refine your solution, strengthen your business model, prepare your final pitch, and present your work to a panel of judges. Then celebrate what your team accomplished in just one weekend.

Do I need an idea or a team?＋
No. You can pitch an idea, join a team that forms on Friday, or simply arrive ready to contribute your skills and perspective.
Do I need startup experience?＋
Not at all. Startup Weekend welcomes students, professionals, first-time founders, creatives, technical builders, and curious community members.
What does the ticket include?＋
Your ticket includes the full three-day experience, facilitated programming, mentor access, designated meals and snacks, the final pitch competition, networking, participant materials, and applicable partner resources and prizes.
What is the refund policy?＋
The organizing team recommends requesting a refund no later than 72 hours before kickoff. Refunds are generally not offered inside that window because catering and supplies have already been purchased. If a ticket is no longer eligible, you are encouraged to transfer it to someone else.
What are the Terms of Participation?＋
By participating, attendees agree to Startup Weekend’s community standards, event participation requirements, photography/video release, and applicable Techstars terms and policies. View full Terms Here.
Do I need to attend all three days?＋
Yes. Startup Weekend is designed as a full three-day experience, with each day building on the one before it. Teams form Friday evening, build and validate throughout Saturday, and prepare and present their final pitches on Sunday. Participants should plan to be actively involved throughout the weekend so their team can get the most from the experience.
What should I bring?＋
Bring a laptop or tablet, charger, and anything you typically use to work or create. Most importantly, come ready to collaborate, meet new people, share your skills, and build.
Can I bring an existing business or project?＋
No. Techstars Startup Weekend is designed to be the most effective platform for growing new businesses from the ground up over the course of a weekend. A key facet of the weekend, and a central value for participants, is the spirit of complete collaboration, buy-in, and ownership. We’ve found that having existing businesses in the mix undermines this spirit, in addition to creating an unequal playing field alongside those ideas that are truly conceived at the grassroots level. The local organizers have the right to disqualify any existing ideas pitched during the event at any time.
